I enjoyed Art as a child but also enjoyed exploring nature and so many other things.
It was when I was in high school in Texas, when I took some painting classes from a most amazing art teacher, that something happened. She taught us to focus totally on what we were doing and follow what was coming to us to do. She said the process of creation was what was important, much more that the end result. I was so taken by the magic of creating in the moment, and listening to what the painting wanted, and I wanted to keep doing that.

The Art that was made in this way was well received and people seemed to really benefit from having it in their lives, so they were getting something out of it as well, and this was great.

So, I ended up studying Art in several Universities and Colleges and graduated from the University of Montana in Fine Art and then studied Commercial Art in San Francisco for a few years after that.

I also started taking yoga classes while in high school and continued all through out the college years and beyond. After many years of studying Yoga and Art, I found that there were so many similarities between Art, Yoga and spiritual practices, that I found there was a way to combine time to a path.

I have explored many different mediums and venues but have found that the one thread that holds my work together is that of pursuing the joy of creation and then focusing on higher qualities of the heart when making it in hopes that the end result will emanate those qualities.

In addition, I am in the very early phases of pursuing the combination of Art and Yoga in a new way because I so enjoy sharing the joy of creating and of being.

I been an artist interment with teaching, leaning and traveling etc for about 40 years.  I have lived all over the Western United States and abroad.  I feel very fortunate to be living in a community of people who practice Yoga called Yogaville, here in Virginia.

I am in hopes that in some way the work I have created here might have some of the energy and qualities from this very special place.
